DAC have completed another attacking signing, with 20-year-old Ghanaian forward Prince Owusu arriving on a permanent transfer from Azerbaijani club FK Gabala. He today signed a three-year contract, with the agreement including an option for an additional year.

Owusu began his football journey at the Nayan Soccer Academy before making his senior debut in Ghana´s second division at the age of 17.

A year ago, he moved from his native Ghana to Azerbaijan, signing a three-year deal with Gabala. During the 2025/26 season, he made 34 competitive appearances, recording seven goals and three assists. Former long-serving Georgia international Kakhaber Tskhadadze, Gabala´s head coach, deployed him primarily as a centre-forward and on the left wing.

“I´m very happy to have signed for DAC. What attracted me was the team´s playing style and the way the club operates. I read about its history, the incredible fan base and the way the club treats its players. It all gave me a really good feeling. For me, the team always comes first. I want to help the team succeed before thinking about my individual achievements," added the new owner of the number 30 shirt.

Asked how he would describe himself to the fans, he replied with a smile: "I´d say I´m an entertainer. I want the fans to be proud of me and to enjoy watching me play. My biggest strength is one-on-one situations. That´s my weapon. At the same time, I know I still have to improve, especially my finishing. I learned a lot during my season in Azerbaijan, and I believe DAC is the perfect place for me to take my finishing to the next level."
