DAC 1904 acknowledges today’s decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to dismiss the appeal filed on 3 July 2025 against the decision rendered by UEFA’s Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) on 26 June 2025. As a result, the CFCB’s ruling is confirmed and DAC is deemed ineligible to participate in the 2025/26 UEFA Europa Conference League, due to an alleged breach of UEFA’s multi-club ownership rules.

We deeply regret this outcome. DAC — one of three clubs affected — has become, in our view, an unintended casualty of recently altered UEFA policies, most notably the redefinition of a key procedural deadline from 3 June to 1 March. This shift had no relevance to the actual assessment of integrity for the 2025/26 European competitions. We are convinced that the change was introduced without transparent justification and without demonstrable benefit to competition integrity. As a result, our club has been denied eligibility despite no evidence of interference, influence, or conflict of interest.

Once we have reviewed the full reasoning behind the CAS decision — which will be communicated in due course — the club will take all necessary steps to ensure that such a situation cannot occur again.

Although we do not agree with the outcome, we respect the decision. DAC has acted in full compliance with UEFA’s integrity standards and in good faith throughout this process. Every effort was made to ensure that both involved clubs operate independently and in a manner consistent with the spirit of UEFA’s regulations — including measures that fully safeguard the integrity of the 2025/26 UEFA Europa Conference League.

We share the deep disappointment of our fans. While this moment is difficult, our commitment and ambition remain unchanged. We now turn our focus to the two competitions that matter most this season: the Niké Liga and the Slovnaft Cup.

We trust that UEFA will approve the participation of the next eligible Slovak club, so that four teams can represent our country in European competition.
